A care service team is celebrating after meeting all essential standards in an unannounced inspection by the Care Quality Commission (CQC).
Home Instead Senior Care Epsom, which provides care for the elderly in their homes around Epsom, Banstead, Tadworth, Kingswood, Ashtead and Leatherhead, met all the standards set by the CQC, with its care-givers being described as "pleasant", "lovely" and "accommodating".
Paul and Jill Tame, who own and run the Epsom office, said: "In light of the recent media reports about instances of poor care, in particular the tragic local case of the lady who died in Banstead, it is really important that people are able to access information about quality providers in their area to give them peace of mind."
The CQC assesses 16 standards from respect and involvement, through to record-keeping and staff support.
Home Instead Senior Care was a winner at the Epsom and Ewell Business Excellence Awards 2012, which are supported by the Epsom Guardian.
