The trial of a woman accused of an alleged racist rant on tram to New Addington has been adjourned for the fifth time.
Emma West of New Addington, was due to stand trial at Croydon Crown Court today, but the case was adjourned until May for legal reasons.
The 35-year-old was charged with two racially aggravated public order offences, after a video of a woman racially abusing tram passengers was uploaded to YouTube in November 2011.
The video showed a woman abusing black, Asian and Polish passengers while holding her son on a tram travelling between Croydon and Wimbledon.
It was watched more than two million times in just 24 hours.
At a previous hearing lawyers defending Miss West, a former dental nurse, said she had taken a double dose of medication when the incident happened.
The case was adjourned until May 10.
