An enthusiastic crowd and stars of London 2012 turned up to applaud the champions of British horseracing at Sandown Park.

The bet 365 Ultimate Celebration on Saturday, the finale of the jumps season, started with a dressage performance from Neptune Collonges, winner of the 2012 Grand National, followed by a parade of champions including top jumps horses Kauto Star, Cue Card, Zarkandar, Simonsig, Captain Conan, Sprinter Sacre and Bobs Worth.

Paralympic gold medallists David Weir and Natasha Baker, along with Olympian Max Whitlock, presented the champions awards to the champion owner, trainer and jockey.

Nicky Henderson received the champion trainer, while JP McManus won the champion owner award. AP McCoy won champion jockey for the 18th year.

Horse of the year was won by Sprinter Sacre, who won five times in stunning style this season.

The main race of the day, the bet365 Gold Cup, was won by Quentin Collonges, for trainer Henry Daly.

Spectators enjoyed a host of entertainment in the celebration marquee, which featured an exhibition showcasing the life of a racehorse and the horse comes first exhibition.

Iconic jump and flat racing trophies were also on show and aspiring jockeys were able to practice riding a finish on the horse simulator.
