Two men have been released from custody after drugs, flares, alcohol and a knife were found on a Crystal Palace supporters coach.

Police raided the coach at 8am on Saturday in South Norwood Hill, South Norwood, after receiving a tip-off.

One man, who was arrested on suspicion of possessing Class A drugs, received a caution.

A second man who was arrested under the Explosives Act for possession of pyrotechnics (flares) has been bailed to return to a south London police station in July.

Officers seized a lock knife and five bin-bags containing beer, cider, wine, and spirits.

The coach was stopped from continuing its journey to Blackburn and the driver of the coach was reported under the Sporting Events Act.

The arrests formed part of the Metropolitan police's Operation Arrowtip, aimed at tackling individuals and groups who commit football related criminality and disorder.
