Police are appealing for witnesses travelling on a bus where a teenager was stabbed yesterday.

The attack took place on Friday afternoon, on the top deck of the number 60 bus, as it travelled towards Croydon town centre.

The bus had stopped in London Road, at the junction with Broad Green Avenue, when the stabbing happened at 4.10pm.

The victim, an 18-year-old man, is in a stable condition in hospital.

Police are now appealing for anyone who saw the stabbing to come forward.

If you were travelling on the number 60 bus between 4pm and 4.20pm, call police on 0203 276 2227 or Crime Stoppers on 0800 555 111.
