Armed robbers held up a convenience store in Croydon.

Metropolitan Police Flying Squad detectives are appealing for witnesses and information following an armed robbery at the Nisa convenience store in Lower Addiscombe Road, Croydon.

Police were called shortly before 9pm on Sunday, May 12, to reports of three men, one with a gun, having robbed the Nisa convenience store in Lower Addiscombe Road, Croydon.

The three men had made off with a quantity of cash prior to officers, including armed officers, attended the scene. A search of the area did not locate any suspects.

Detectives from the Flying Squad are investigating.

It is believed there were four suspects in total - three who entered the store and one who waited outside. They are described as black males, aged between 18 to 25 wearing dark coloured clothing.

It is understood one of the suspects assaulted the shop worker in the store at the time demanding that he opened the till. The victim's injuries were minor.

It is believed the assault was carried out by the suspect holding the gun.

Nobody has been arrested at present and enquiries continue.
