Thousands of people flocked to Croydon town centre on Saturday to watch The X Factor drop-out Ashley McKenzie turn on the Christmas lights.
Ashley arrived in North End with fellow talent show star Nikkita Angus. Croydon pantomime star and Strictly Come Dancing evictee Georgina Bouzova was also there to switch on the lights.
Mayor Councillor Janet Marshall was also there to push the button to light up the streets.
Popular Croydon duo The Duallers entertained the crowds and shoppers.
