The eagerly anticipated Mitcham Carnival and Parade will take place on Saturday June 15 on Three Kings Piece near Mitcham Common.

This year’s theme is Living Mitcham amd residents are invited to celebrate who they are and where they live by entering a float in the parade, which starts at 12pm and will travel from Figges Marsh to Three Kings Piece.

Attractions include two young and talented stunt motorbike riders who will perform tricks and jumps with breath-taking skill and balance to take your breath away.

There’s also fun for all the family - a fun fair, children’s entertainment, a little league tournament are all on offer as well as more than 120 charity and trade stalls to browse.

Merton’s cabinet member for community and culture Councillor Nick Draper said: "Mitcham has a tremendous mixture of culture and communities and I want to see that reflected in this year’s carnival.

"I want to see people of all ages, cultures and interests reflected in our procession this year and I also want to see all our business community holding stalls at the carnival."

The carnival is on at Three Kings Piece, Commonside West in Mitcham from 12pm until 5pm. To feature in the parade or book a stall visit merton.gov.uk/mitchamcarnival.
