People worn down by the daily grind are being invited to learn more about a new wellbeing centre opening in the summer.

Visit Epsom's market place this Sunday to meet some of the team behind the Wellbeing Centre, which will be part of the Longmead Community Centre.

The centre will focus on enhancing wellbeing and supporting independent living and offer everything from counselling to a simple cup of tea.

It will be run by Epsom Council with funding and support from Surrey County Council and other agencies.

Councillor Jean Steer, chairman of the council’s social committee, said: "Our health and wellbeing are central components for a happy life.

"Often the daily grind means that our wellbeing is neglected or even taken for granted, and it is only when things start to go wrong that we look for solutions.

"The Epsom and Ewell Wellbeing Centre will be the place to go to for help and guidance."

Learn more between 10am and 4pm in Epsom's market place.
