Volunteers will be thanked for their efforts with a ball pit next week.
As part of Volunteers Week, which runs from June 1-7, people have been invited to show their appreciation by writing a note on a ball for the pit in Sutton High Street on June 1 and Wallington on June 5.
A breakfast has been organised on 7 June at 8-10.00am at the Europa Gallery as part of the celebrations and attendees will be shown a video created by students from Carshalton College.
Every year, over 20 million people across England and the UK volunteer, donating more than 100 million hours to their communities every week. !
The chief executive officer of Volunteer Centre Sutton, Chris Parker, said "It is important we recognise the valuable contributions in which our local volunteers make and we are excited to have the community be a part of the upcoming Volunteers’ Week events to recognize all the amazing volunteers in Sutton."
