A lucky eight-year-old got to lead out Arsenal for their last home match of the season against Wigan.
Christopher Finch, 8, of Purley, was chosen at random from 30,000 young Arsenal fans to be the mascot for their 4-1 victory over FA Cup champions Wigan Athletic on May 14.
The Arsenal fan got to meet his heroes before the game and get their autographs before having a kick around on the pitch.
He said: “It was brilliant to have been chosen to be the mascot and to walk the team out onto the pitch, especially for our last home game of the season.
“Getting to see all the players was the best part of the evening though, especially having the chance to meet Santi Cazorla, who went onto score for Arsenal after two minutes.”
Santi Cazorla, pictured with Christopher, said: “It was good to meet Christopher ahead of the match with Wigan Athletic and to give him a behind the scenes look at how things work on a matchday.
“I know I’d have loved to do something like that when I was a kid so I hope he had an evening he’ll remember for a long time to come.”
