Croydon North's MP is taking to the saddle this month to raise money for charity.
Steve Reed is taking part in the London to Brighton bike ride for the British Heart Foundation.
Mr Reed has set a target of £500 for the BHF but has already raised more than £300.
The 75 mile ride takes place on June 16 and Mr Reed said he hopes his fundraising can help save lives.
He said: “Heart disease is one of the biggest preventable causes of death in our country.
“I’m taking part in the London to Brighton bike ride to raise funds for the British Heart Foundation’s work to save lives.
“If any readers would like to sponsor me they can donate online.
"Everything raised goes to such a great cause, and it will also make sure they have a fit and healthy MP to represent Croydon North in Parliament.”
