Residents are being asked how they would like to regenerate North Cheam.

Businesses and stakeholders have outlined ideas and designers have formed an initial concept based on them – and now Sutton Council wants people's input.

The work is the second stage of the Worcester Park and North Cheam Outer London Fund (OLF) project which got underway in April last year.

Work is now nearing completion in Worcester Park and the team is eager to get started on North Cheam.

Councillor Kirsty Jerome, chairwoman of the Outer London Find Project Board, said: "This project is vital for the future of the area. It will affect the appearance and prosperity of North Cheam for years to come, so I urge everyone to get involved."

The overall aim of the OLF plan is to improve the economic vitality of high streets and boost trade for businesses - and designers have focused on looking at ways of improving accessibility and making the area more pedestrian-friendly.

Initial ideas they are also proposing include adding trees and landscaping combined with shopfront improvements to create a boulevard-style ambience while also continuing street markets to encourage greater footfall.
