Dear Sir,
Why am I not at all surprised to see Labour's plans to cut the Basic State Pension instead of putting a cap on benefits. This is how they want to cut spending - by punishing pensioners (over 50,000 of them in Croydon alone).
Well done Labour! It's not enough that because of your policies, the country is bankrupt, we now see the elderly paying for your incompetence. I wonder if Councillor Tony Newman (Leader of the Opposition) has anything to say on the subject?
