A doctor who allegedly took £100,000 from an out-of-hours GP service is set to learn whether he will be stripped of his licence to practice medicine.
Dr Ravi Sondhi, 52, an out-of-hours doctor at Croydoc that covered Croydon, Sutton and Merton, is accused of withdrawing £100,000 from the company without permission and failing to respond to hundreds of calls from patients.
He is also accused of being racially abusive and aggressive towards staff. If found guilty he will lose his medical licence.
It was alleged in an NHS report abused his position by persuading vulnerable staff and patients to give him money at Portland Medical Centre in South Norwood.
The fitness to practice hearing in Manchester has been scheduled for 2pm on June 25. It was originally scheduled for this week but has been postponed.
