Crystal Palace will face Tottenham Hotspur at home on the opening game of the season after the Premier League fixtures were announced today.

The 2013/14 season is one of the most eagerly-anticipated in recent memory, with Palace fans looking forward to a Premier League return after an eight-year absence following their dramatic play-off final victory over Watford at Wembley last month.

The Eagles’ will take on Spurs on Saturday August 17 at Selhurst Park. Palace's first away game is against Stoke City on August 24.

Co-Chairman Stephen Browett said: “It’s great to start with a high profile fixture: a London derby against Spurs at Selhurst Park that is guaranteed to be a sell-out.

"It is very exciting. We’re expecting big demand for season tickets and memberships today.”

Palace fans have plenty to look forward to, with the Eagles playing some of the biggest teams in world football.

Holloway’s team will take on premier League Champions Manchester United on September 14 at Old Trafford and again on February 22.
