Staff at a Kingston DIY store rowed to France and back in a day as part of a national charity fundraiser.
Workers at Wickes in London Road took part in a rowing challenge which saw every UK branch of the hardware firm row.
the distance from Dover to Calais and back in eight hours, to raise money for blood cancer charity Leukaemia and Lymphoma Research.
Staff in Kingston raised a total of £240, which went towards Wickes’ overall target of £100,000.
Wickes’ customer service manager Nav Sangha said: “I am really proud of my colleagues for completing this challenge.
“It was a tough one with a few sore arms and legs at the end but that is nothing compared to what blood cancer patients and their families have to go through on a daily basis.
“Raising money for Leukaemia and Lymphoma Research means better treatments and cures for patients with blood cancer.”
