A community choir,  rhyming fairy tales, and artefacts at Kingston Museum are the highlights of today’s Kingston Connections programme, writes Hannah Crompton.

The Euphonix choir will take to the Rose Theatre’s main auditorium stage at 1pm.

The choir is led by Dominic Stichbury, who also heads the Barnes Community Choir.

Pharmacists Dr Reem Kayyali and Dr Shereen Nabhani will talk about the NHS and listen to your views about the good and the bad at 10.30am in the Rose Theatre gallery.

For something more upbeat, in the Culture Cafe at 10.30am Kate Priestley will run a ‘big and loud’ rhyming session.

Kingston Museum will be at the Rose's Culture Cafe from 11am until 4pm with historic artefacts.

All week long the festival has been asking people to write their own haikus and tweet them to #haikuhopes.

Schoolchildren unveiled their own efforts at the Bentall Centre last month.
