The sound of sizzling and the smell of fresh food hung in the air in South Croydon on Sunday at the return of the South End Food Festival.
A diverse range of international grub was up for grabs alongside cookery demonstrations, a food market, music, roaming street theatre and stalls in Croydon's restaurant quarter.
The popular event, returning after the success of its 2012 debut, saw food lovers, food experts and the food curious take over the street for the afternoon as bars and eateries opened their doors for alfresco dining.
There was also plenty of entertainment for those who had filled their bellies, with a live music stage, human statues, clowns, stilt walkers, fairground rides and a bungee trampoline.
