More than 300 drivers were stopped on the borough's roads last week as police cracked down on law-breaking motorists.
Police seized 22 vehicles for a range of offences including driving without insurance and arrested a man on suspicion of ABH after an incident involving one of the bailiffs involved in the operation.
Checkpoints were set up in Stafford Road, Wallington, Belmont Rise and Brighton Road in Belmont at different times during the day. The drive was part of a Metropolitan Police-wide operation.

Inspector Ian Hicks said: "Motorists who drive without insurance are committing a serious offence. Make sure you have the correct insurance for your journeys. These operations will continue and you will be caught if you don’t have insurance."
Drivers caught without insurance were given six penalty points, £200 fines and had their vehicles seized.
