Campaigners are calling for the return of their banner after it was removed from outside a school.

A 'Go Greenshaw' banner displayed opposite Victor Seymore School in Denmark Road, Carshalton, has been taken down for the second time.

The banner is part of a campaign to stop Camden Junior School from becoming a so-called Harris academy and, instead, have it sponsored by the Greenshaw High School Educational Trust.

The campaigners think someone who disagrees with them has removed the banner. It is not the first time the banner has been taken, but after the first one disappeared campaigners replaced it only for it to be taken away again.

Liz Miller, who is parent to a child at Camden Junior School, said: "If whoever is doing it  disagrees with the campaign, then it would be more helpful for them to tell us why and get involved in a constructive debate about the future of this local school."

The banner had been signed by pupils and Ms Miller said the children were upset about its disappearance.
