Thousands of people soaked up the sunshine and basked in a field of flowering lavender at a festival over the weekend.
Mayfield Lavender, a 25-acre lavender farm in Banstead, offered massages in the field, bug hunts for children, a barbecue, wreath making classes and pilates.

Owner Brendan Maye said several thousand people came to the farm’s first-ever festival, which turned out to be a great success.
He said: "It was very successful, people loved it. We wanted to increase awareness of lavender and celebrate the fact that summer is finally here."
