Bankers took on gardening duties to help a senior citizens club last week.
Eleven volunteers from Lloyds Banking Group’s central office, Sampson House, London, swapped their keyboards and computer screens for the day, on Friday, July 5, to pick up paint brushes and trowels as they helped paint and do the gardening at the Senior Citizens Club, Roundshaw Estate, Wallington.
As part of a community project in partnership with Business in the community (BiTC) and Roundshaw Homes, the Lloyds Banking Group has donated £100 towards buying plants.
Helen Redd, Hyde Plus Regional Manager South, said: "Initiatives like this can help to make such a difference in a community.
"We're delighted to be able to work with BiTC and the Lloyds Banking Group at the Senior Citizens Club; the planting is a perfect conclusion to a major clear out of the gardens during Capital Clean Up event which residents led in March this year."
