The big sporting event of the weekend saw two heavyweights slug it out in the blistering heat.

Wallington Town Hall welcomed wrestlers to the Summertime Brawl III, which saw Sir Thomas Chamberlain retain his title against Bagheera.

Fans were out in force for a near sell out despite the event clashing with Andy Murray's momentous victory at Wimbledon.

Organiser Matthew Burden, said; "It was a rip-roaring success. We were so pleased that even with Andy Murray playing in the final, people came to watch. We made a big announcement too."

Doug Williams, who has trained with wrestling great Hulk Hogan, will team with The Wonder Kid Jonny Storm to face tag team champions Party Marty Scurll and Zack Sabre Jnr at the next event.
