The borough's register office has been given a glowing report for its years work including 3,227 births and 363 marriages and civil partnerships.
Sutton register office, in the Russettings, Worcester Road, has been praised for high customer service ratings in its annual performance report from the General Register Office.
The register office, which also dealt with 1,609 deaths in the last year, also hosts citizenship ceremonies in which people have British citizenship conferred on them after they pledge allegiance to the Queen.
Councillor Jill Whitehead, chairwoman of Sutton's environment and neighbourhoods committee, said: "People use the register office during some of the most emotionally-charged periods of their lives and that means it is especially important that they receive an efficient and sensitive service."
