Merton Abbey Primary was heaving as the sun shone brightly for its 32nd annual summer fair.

Organised by Friends of Merton Abbey School, the school on the High Paths Estate, South Wimbledon put on face painting, a bouncy castle, fair ground stalls, and a demonstration from the Dentoh Karate School on Saturday.

Sarah Holguin, chairman of the group, said: "I think the highlight was the raffle. The grand prize draw was a BMX bike and that really drew a lot of interest."

The day raised more than £2,000 which the group hopes to invest in a new PA system for future events.
