A daughter plunged 10,000ft to raise money in memory of her mum, who died of cancer.

Jodie Ferry, 22, of Uvedale Crescent, New Addington, made over £1,200 skydiving for charity on Saturday.

Her mum, Debra Young, died aged 43 in September 2007. She had been diagnosed with pancreatic cancer just eight weeks before her death.

Jodie will donate the proceeds of her skydive, which she completed near Maidstone, to Pancreatic Cancer UK.

Among the most generous benefactors was Co-Operative Funeral Care, in Purley, which donated £200.

Jodie said: "My mum was the kindest, loving, caring person I know and had her whole life ahead of her. I feel I never got the chance to tell my Mum how I felt and how much I loved her - and that I regret a lot.

"I think she would have been proud of me doing the skydive -  but I also think she'd probably have been terrified!"
