Strains of violin, the tinkle of piano and the crash of drums echoed around a Warlingham school during a day dedicated to performance.
Pupils at Warlingham Park School in Chelsam Common also aired their singing voices and showed off their verse during Speech Day, an annual celebration of students' talents.
Among the highlights were drum and bass guitar duo Michael Pecket and Paul Saxby, who had teachers and pupils rocking out, and solo songbirds Shivani Vignes and Harmony Dawson.
Headteacher Mike Donald and Cllr Yvette Hopley, the Mayor of Croydon, dished out end-of-year awards for the best academic results as well as achievements in technology, sport, art and music.
