More than 120 people took part in the Trinity Hospice Magnolia Walk through Wandsworth and Clapham Common collecting more than £11,000.

Walkers took part in either a 2km, 5km or 10km route, with many walking in memory of a loved one on June 30.

Supporters then ended their route by heading back to Trinity for a well-deserved BBQ in the award-winning gardens.

Aisha Nahmmacher, event organiser, said: "Trinity’s Magnolia Walk was a great way for the local community to get together and help support a great cause, with people of all ages taking part - someone even walked on a newly fixed broken ankle.

"Everyone worked really hard raising sponsorship and everything raised will help to support Trinity’s nurses, who care for more than 2,000 terminally ill people and their families each year, completely free of charge."

Trinity receives less than a third of its funding from the government, meaning that it has to raise £7million every year in order to continue its vital work.
