A team from charity appeal Love Kingston will oar in the Dragon Boat races in Canbury Gardens this Sunday.
Hilary Garner, CEO, of Kingston Voluntary Action (KVA), which oversees the appeal, will bang the drum.
Crew members will include appeal beneficiaries Kingston Food Bank, Hestia, Oxygen, Kingston Savers and Kingston Churches Action on Homelessness.
Kate White, from KVA’s Super Highways project, said: “I don’t know what I’ve let myself in for. I have paddled in a canoe when I was 14 years old. Does that count?”
