So, it finally happened. The world's media got their first glimpse last night of the new addition to the Royal family.
Perhaps predictably, nearly every national newspaper's front pages have been dominated by the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge's first child, with the exception of The Guardian and The Independent.
There has been similarly blanket coverage across Sky News and the BBC, which interrupted its BBC One programming on Monday night to report the 'event'.
Is it too much or is this level of coverage justified?
Clearly the birth of someone who will probably be Britain's Head of State one day is a huge story of national importance, but do you feel the balance was right?
In south-west London, we reported how lots of babies were born within our local hospitals on the same day as the Royal baby, such as in Kingston, St George's, and Croydon.
We also reported how your taxpayer-funded local councils have reacted to the news; Sutton interrupted a meeting when the baby news broke, while in Merton they have opened a book of congratulations for residents.
