There were delays on tramlink services during lunchtime today after a tram broke down in Croydon.
The tram was unable to move after losing power as it entered George Street tram stop at 12.01pm.
No trams are currently running between Reeves Corner and East Croydon until it was moved by engineers at 1.45pm.
Transport for London's director of trams, Sharon Thompson, said: “A shuttle service was put in place on the London Tramlink Wimbledon route following an incident with a stalled tram at 12.01 today.
"Engineers were sent to the site soon after the tram stopped between Reeves Corner and Jubilee Bridge and it was moved to the depot at by 1.45pm.
“ A service around the town centre loop ran during the incident with a shuttle service in place from Reeves Corner to Wimbledon and back.
"I apologise for any inconvenience to customers.”
