IKEA Croydon has been raising money for two of its main charity partners.
Two projects, The Crystal Palace Study Centre and The Maypole Project, have been benefiting from community work from the Purley Way furniture supplier.
The store has been carrying out in store collections and gifting some of its products to the study centre, a voluntary after school learning programme for young people.
Ten volunteers from the store rolled up their sleeves and got to work to transform the centre's dilapidated interiors, also donating around £6,000 of furniture.
It has also been supporting the Maypole Project, that provides support to children with life threatening and life limiting illnesses as well as providing support to their families.
The store has also invited in schools for an annual visit, to show how IKEA works to preserve the environment.
Garry Deakin, IKEA Croydon store manager, said: "We know that as IKEA we are a part of that community and want to give back as much as we can."
