Matthews Yard in Croydon hosts folk music special
There is a host of events taking place at Matthews Yard this month.
This Thursday evening, from 7pm to 10pm, there is a folk music special as some up and coming bands perform at the venue.
Hunter and The Bear, a British folk trio, will be combining a mix of folk, country and rock with their explosive energy for their live show.
The band are inspired by artists such as Lynyrd Skynyrd and Bruce Springsteen.
Yazmyn Hendrix, a solo a capella artist who writes and sings her own songs will be showcasing her talents alongside Ellie Lawson, a folk singer-songwriter from Croydon.
This Saturday will see the next instalment of Busking by the Window. A range of live music performances will take place during the afternoon, starting at 1pm.
Both the above performances are completely free.
On Thursday August 22 Matthews Yard is celebrating the best of New York and Croydon with their coffee house roots revival night, Bronx meets Cronx.
There will be acoustic performances from Ellie Lawson, Dave Sears and Yeti Love.
Tickets are £5 which includes your first pint.
