Crystal cheerleader talks about Crystal Palace's upcoming season in the Premier League
The Croydon Guardian caught up with Crystal cheerleader Lulu Pieri ahead of the new season.
Crystal Palace take on Tottenham Hotspur tomorrow with the Crystals ready to bring their dance routines to a Premier League crowd for the first time.
Croydon Guardian: How excited are you for the start of the new season?
Lulu Pieri: I'm so excited for the new season, the team have worked so hard and the promotion is well deserved! I can't wait to get back on the pitch to entertain the crowds and cheer on the boys!
CG: What three games are you most looking forward to?
LP: I'm really looking forward to the first game of the season against Tottenham, everyone will be so excited and the atmosphere will be amazing.
Manchester United will be a really good game as it's Zaha's new team and they are the reigning champs so it will be great to welcome them to Selhurst Park.
I'm also really looking forward to the Liverpool game as some of my family are fans, nothing wrong with a bit of family rivalry.
CG: Who do you think will be Crystal Palace’s dangerman this season?
LP: I think that José Campaña is a big talent to watch out for, he's a fantastic player and will be a good addition to the team.
CG: What can we expect from the Crystals this season? Any new routines etc?
LP: We have been training hard over the summer working on our fitness and technique as well as learning new and exciting routines that our coach has choreographed for us.
This season we have lots of routines prepared to a wide range of songs which should keep all of the fans entertained.
CG: What is your message to the team for the season?
LP: Good luck boys. Keep up the good work, we are all behind you cheering you on. Enjoy every minute, it's going to be a great season.
