Dozens of families had the chance to find out more about their fire service this weekend at a free community open day.
Merton fire brigade held the event on Saturday, August 17, at Mitcham fire station on Lower Green West to give residents an insight into their work.
As well as getting the chance to sit inside a fire engine, visitors were able to get advice of fire safety and crime prevention from fire fighters and police officers who attended.
