A mental health awareness day is being held in September.

The Talk Easy Trust, a student-run group which helps victims of bullying and depression, are running the day on September 18.

The day will be held in a number of schools where students will be able to learn more about their own mental health.

Aidan McNulty, chief executive of the trust, said the whole aim of the day is to make pupils aware that talking about mental health is okay.

In the evening a presentation will take place for parents from all Sutton schools who are keen to learn about mental health.

There will be a chance to ask questions to mental health professionals and young people who have suffered from mental health illness.

The event is taking place at The John Fisher School, Peaks Hill, Purley and starts at 6.30pm.
