A young Gunner from Weybridge showed off his football skills at the Emirates stadium.

Jasper Maple, seven, was one of 30 youngsters invited to play at Arsenal’s stadium as part of the 30th anniversary celebrations of the club’s Junior Gunner scheme, which was founded in 1983.

The match saw 30 young fans take on some members of the first team on the famous pitch with a little help from Arsenal and England ace Theo Walcott, who gave them some top tips and joined their team.

To commemorate the anniversary, the junior players released 30 balloons into the sky, which contained a free membership for the coming season for the young fans who found them.

Jasper said: “I had a brilliant day at Arsenal. Not only did I get to meet my favourite players I was able to play football with them too.”

Jasper also had the change to watch his favourite team train and he attended a questions and answers session with the Arsenal players.
