Police have recovered a stolen motorbike which was stashed behind bushes in Ewell.
The Honda motorcycle was found behind Curtis Road after being stolen from other side of the borough on Sunday night.
Epsom and Ewell Safer Neighbourhood Policing Team said PCSO Michaela Pearce and PCSO Allison Sheppard had been making enquiries over the theft from the Manor Park area.
But the team got lucky when a resident reported a dumped, possibly stolen, motorbike.
On Facebook the team said: "Michaela and Ali found the bike stashed in bushes behind Curtis Road in Ewell, and after looking for the bike's serial number and tax disc with the original number plate they recognised it as the one that had been stolen on Manor Park.
"The bike was then seized and will be checked over by our forensic team. Although the investigation is ongoing, the owner will be happy to get his bike back."
