Young people from Croydon are being urged to join the board of the new Mayor's Fund for London Youth.

The charity is dedicated to helping young Londoners and is looking for driven and opinionated youths to contribute to their work and share what young Londoners need to make a difference to their futures.

Activities focus on health, safety and well-being, skills and employment. Last year the Fund supported more than 12,000 young people aged between five and 24 in some of London’s most economically disadvantaged areas.

Members of the Youth Board will keep in regular contact with City Hall, telling them what is happening in Croydon. They will also be invited to exclusive events with some of the UK's top business people.

To apply for one of 12 places visit mayorsfundforlondon.co.uk/youth-board or call 0207 983 4051 for an application form.

Shortlisted candidates will be invited to City Hall for a recruitment event during the first week of September to find out more about the Board.
