A street party raised an estimated £2,000 for a children’s cancer charity on Saturday.
Mill Street Residents’ Association celebrated the return of the annual Millfest, following a two year hiatus.
Held on the green at the end of the road, attendees enjoyed a barbecue, stalls and a number of live bands.
The event also raised an estimated £2,300 for children’s cancer charity Momentum.
Millfest organiser Nic Preston said: "We couldn't have hoped for a better turn out for Millfest 2013.
“Having taken a two year break it was so nice to know that people still wanted to come and support us. “We will be proudly donating over £2,000 to Momentum. "
Residents’ association chair Tessa Kind said: “The bands are getting better each year.”
