Queen Elizabeth I gave an audience to children in Ewell near one of her favourite palaces, Nonsuch, on Saturday.
The Virgin Queen taught kids’ club members how to bow and curtsey in her presence at Bourne Hall in Spring Street.
The Bourne Hall Museum Kids’ Club also leant about the history of the Tudor period and Queen Elizabeth’s life.
David Brooks, who runs the club, said: "It was very good. She appeared and told the children how to behave in front of her. She went through the history of her time and life."
