A car was flipped on its roof after a car crash in Wallington this morning.

A Honda Civic pulled out of the junction of Woodcote Green and Woodmansterne Road, just before 9am this morning and collided with a Vauxhall Corsa in the main road.

Witness Alan Todd said: "The crash resulted in the Vauxhaull rolling onto its roof. Casualties were in the ambulance and police and fire brigade were in attendance.

"We are still awaiting for improvements to the junction - discussions have been going on for more than 20 years."

A spokesman for London Ambulance Service said; "We were called at 8.53am to reports of a road traffic collision.

"We sent a single responder in a car and one ambulance crew. Three patients were treated at the scene but there were no obvious injuries."

Epsom motorcyclist Julian Green was killed in March 2009 when his BMW bike collided with a tipper at the junction of Woodmansterne Lane and Woodcote Road junction.

It is the same road which claimed the life of British boxing Champion Gary Mason in January 2011 when he was knocked off his bike by a van.

Joanne Saunders, who lives on the road, said more needs to be done.

She said; "It's an absolute nightmare on this road, we hear the screech of brake and cars speeding past a lot, and now with schools going back, something must be done to prevent more accidents."
