Nine arrests were made across Sutton during a two day police operation to crack down on licensing and immigration breaches.
Five of the arrests were for suspected immigration offences.
Two were arrested for burglary, one for an assault on a member of door security staff, and one for criminal damage.
Four verbal warnings given to taxi drivers for failing to display their personal identity licence.
On September 13 and 14, more than 120 licensed premises were visited in Sutton by officers from the Metropolitan Police, Sutton Council, the UK Border Agency and Her Majesty's Revenue and Customs (HMRC).
The premises visited included nightclubs, pubs and convenience stores across Sutton.
A number of taxis were also stopped and checked. The purpose of all the visits was to check compliance with licence agreements.
Safer Neighbourhoods Inspector Richard Hall said: "These operations are designed to cover various offences including tax avoidance, immigration fraud, licences breaches by venues and the selling of knives, alcohol and cigarettes to under-age customers.
"We are keen to work with licensed premises and taxi operators but we will deal with any criminal activity or licence breaches."
