Southern Rail staff hop on their bikes to raise £700 for charity
Southern Railway staff raised over £700 by cycling the length of the 414 mile Southern network on exercise bikes at East Croydon Station.
The task was part of Southern’s Charities Week, which ran from September 7 to 13, and raised over £4,000 to be split between two charities.
Activities including a Great Southern Bake Off were also held at Southern’s head office in Croydon for The Royal Marsden Cancer Charity and Martlets Hospice.
Southern’s CSR and Partnership Manager, Andy Harrowell said: “We are delighted for our charities and those they work for who will benefit from the tremendous generosity of our staff and passengers.”
