Post-mortem finds Thornton Heath student Fico Dougan was stabbed in heart in fatal Broad Green attack
Teenager Fico Dougan died after being stabbed in the heart during an attack in Broad Green, a post-morterm examination has found.
The 17-year-old, who was formally named by police this afternoon, died an hour after being stabbed four times in a house in Ockley Road on Wednesday.
A pathologist recorded the cause of his death of a stab wound to the heart after conducting the examination yesterday.
Fico, who grew up in Thornton Heath, has now been formally identified by his next of kin.
A 16-year-old from Mitcham, who cannot be named for legal reasons, this morning appeared in court charged with murdering Fico. He will enter a plea at the Old Bailey on October 11.
The John Ruskin College student's death sparked outpourings of grief among friends and teachers, who said he had "a good heart" and "put a smile on everyone's face".
More than 70 friends yesterday marked his death by laying flowers outside the house in which he died.
