An attack on three men who were robbed in Twickenham at the weekend has sparked a police appeal.

The three 18-year-old men were approached by the three suspects before a short scuffle broke out at about 12.25am on Sunday, October 20, in the Meadway near Crane Park.

Two of the men were punched repeatedly in the face and later taken to a hospital in west London where they were treated before they were discharged.

The suspects ran into Crane Park, near Lincoln Avenue and left with a mobile phone and about £45 in cash.

The first suspect is described as a black man in his late teens or early 20s, wearing a black coat with hood and fur collar, blue jeans and black high-top Nike trainers.

The second suspect is a black man in his late teens or early 20s wearing a red hooded top, blue jeans and black Nike high-top trainers.

The third suspect is a white man in his late teens wearing a multi-coloured rain coat, which was mainly blue. He was believed to be on a BMX bike.

The victims were initially approached by the first two suspects but after walking to Crane Park the third suspect emerged from the park area where the three suspects crossed the road.

Detective Chris Brown said: “This incident is a particularly nasty robbery on three teenagers returning from a night out.

“The attack was unprovoked and the victims were given no chance to defend themselves or run away.”
