An 80-year-old Carshalton man has been the latest person to fall victim to the so-called 'bank courier scam'.
The Culvers Way man took a call from someone purporting to be from his bank on Wednesday.
He was told there was a problem with two of his bank cards and they would be collected by car later that day.
During the conversation the caller confused the man and he revealed PIN and bank details.
A supposed courier came and picked up the cards and later that day he found out £300 had been withdrawn. He cancelled both the cards.
The scam has been regularly used in Sutton over recent months and police are warning people never to reveal their bank details or PIN to anyone - banks already have these details and will never ask for cards to be sent back.
Officers say people should immediately hang up on suspect callers to call 999 if you are suspicious of any visitors to your home.
