PICTURES: Scary Purley cafe goes all out for Halloween
It is the scariest day of the year and one cafe has gone all out on horrifying Halloween decorations.
Staff at Astos on Brighton Road, Purley, have really got into the Halloween spirit, treating diners to some scary decor.
Halloween horrors include a rat on the counter nibbling peanuts and a very spooky clown watching over you while you have a coffee.
Customer Kevin Baird, who lives nearby, took his daughter into the cafe yesterday and said he was thoroughly impressed by the cafe's efforts, which also included staff dressing up.
Mr Baird said: "The decorations are very good, it was almost magical. My daughter is seven and she was amazed by it.
"It is great for the local community that a business is trying to get everyone into the Halloween spirit. It is quite amazing to walk in and see it all."
It is believed the owners spent about £500 on the decorations and even shipped some over from America for her display.
