Post-punk favourites Young Knives will return to Kingston for a belated album launch show next month.
The Oxford three-piece, best known for hit singles The Decision and She’s Attracted To, will headline Banquet Records’ weekly New Slang night on Thursday, December 5.
It will be the fourth time the former Mercury Prize nominees have played New Slang, and comes a little over a month since the release of Sick Octave, their fourth full length album.
Ever the innovators, Young Knives recorded Sick Octave using musical instruments made from found materials and built from scratch by the band themselves.
They raised the £12,000 to produce the album through an online Kickstarter appeal.

Banquet Records manager Jon Tolley said: “Young Knives have always been a favourite of ours.
“Their inventive indie rock was bothering the charts when we started New Slang seven years ago, and they’ve continually evolved and have just releases the acclaimed Sick Octave album.
“As a belated album release show for this, we’re excited to welcome them back for their fourth New Slang.”
Young Knives will be ably supported by transatlantic post-punk trio Pale Angels – an alliance between former members of defunct New Jersey outfits The Ergs and The Measure (SA) plus Swansea five-piece The Arteries.
As always, once the bands finish, the DJs take over, playing indie anthems until 2am.
